When Dante Alighieri wrote Inferno, he had no idea of what his romance would become centuries later. The classic-turned-video game is about to take another form, now that Electronic Arts and DC Comics have announced their partnership to bring the hell-touring masterpiece into a graphic novel.

If you're worried about the quality, don't, EA won't be writing it. It'll be in the capable hands of Diego Latorre (The Hulk) for illustration, and Christos Cage of (X-Men, Spider-Man, Wildcats) for the story. If you can make it to the Comic-Con in San Diego on July 23rd to the 26th, you can score a free Issue 0 from the EA or DC Comics booth, signed by Latorre and Cage.

Dante's Inferno (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3) still doesn't have a release date, but you can catch the playable demo at the Comic-Con, if you're going there.
