Get your Musou on, boys and girls, Dynasty Warriors 6: Empires (PS3 Xbox 360) just got dated for the US, less than a week after Koei announced the European release. This latest installment to the tale of the Three Kingdoms will feature all the one-man-armying goodness that the franchise is best known for, plus a few extra tweaks just to make sure we keep coming back for more.

Care to take on these guys again?

As detailed in the European announcement, Dynasty Warriors 6: Empires will have the usual slate of missions, weapons, and different kinds of attacks that we always get from the franchise, with a few tweaks of course. Character creation and customization was described as "extensive," so maybe we'll see a better one than what we saw in Xtreme Legends 5.

Terrain will now play a vital role in planning your attacks to give you the tactical advantage that your character probably won't need. You just  charge ahead in front and slaughter them all anyway. There's also the "easy-to-learn card collecting system" that'll add new dimensions to gameplay, apart from choosing to be either a lord or an officer.

And oh yeah, the release date. While folks in the UK would have to wait for June 26th, those in the US will get theirs three days earlier - June 23rd.

It's true. I'm buying this, but every DW game so far has never set you against impossible odds.

Except for those battles when you have a Level 3 character and then a maxed-out Musou Rage Lu Bu with Attack 2x/Defense 2x/Speed 2x/Musou Infinite comes charging in, spits on your shoe and kills you in one hit.
