Duke Nukem Forever - Image 1According to the Dallas Business Journal, 3D Realms has confirmed that Duke Nukem Forever will be released by this year and that it will be available not only on the PC but also on the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3.

However, website Shacknews contacted 3D Realms which in turn  pointed out that it didn't give any concrete details on the game's launch and platforms.

Currently, we're waiting for 3D Realms to release a follow-up statement regarding the status and release of Duke Nukem Forever. The way we see it, we've been waiting to get our hands on this game ever since it was first announced years ago. What's a few more months of waiting? When 3D Realms is ready to spill the beans, they will do so and there should be much rejoicing among the gaming community.

» Meh.

I was a bit excited when the game was first announced but I just lost all interest in the game now. I am a Duke Nukem fan but I just don't care about this game anymore.

» .

It's one of the fist first person shooters from long ago. Most of the games(FPS wise) are based off duke nukem.

» ummm no

Castle Wolfenstien was the first first person shooter.

Duke Nukem was originally a 2d PC game with horrible graphics that had almost nothing in common with the 3d games.
