Anderson Analytics have conducted a study that "measure subconscious attitudes of potential consumers" between Microsoft's Xbox and Sony's PlayStation. They found out boys who were shown Xbox pictures were "higher on power motivation" than those who looked at PlayStation images. We don't know what they meant, either. Along with "power motivation," Xbox images brought out higher self-confidence scores than PlayStation. Wait, there's more! Boys in the Xbox group had higher levels of distrust after seeing the Xbox ad, something that wasn't seen in the PlayStation group. What does all these mean to you Xbox 360 and PS3 Fan Boys? Nothing really. But for MS, it means they need to fire their ad agency. As for Sony, looks like they have some PS brand image beefing up to do.
