Digital Rockstardom: Become a playable character in a Guitar Hero game |

GameStop announced today that they will be holding a promotional sweepstakes, the first prize of which is to become a playable character in a future Guitar Hero title.
The winner will be ferried free of charge to lovely Los Angeles to meet with the dev team and get his or her photo taken for the game. Accommodations will be taken care of and US$ 1,000 will be provided as spending money. Hope the winner is old enough to properly enjoy the "spending" money (it *is* LA, after all).
The contest starts from now until December 22, 2008, so mark your calendars if you're interested. Sign up at the contest's website at http://www.guitarheroauditions.com/
Besides the contest, the site features a section to unlock all 84 songs in Guitar Hero: World Tour (Xbox 360, PS2, PS3) if you bought the full kit from them. There are also some fun baubles like a Rock Name Generator and Greatest Rock Poses so it's definitely worth a look even if you've no intention of joining the contest itself.
