Devil May Cry Capcom Xbox 360 PS3 - Image 1Updating console games with downloadable content is the norm with next-gen console nowadays, but will extra gaming content be an important factor to make games even more enjoyable? For Hiroyuki Kobayashi, producer of Devil May Cry 4 (PC, Sony PlayStation 3, Microsoft Xbox 360), putting out extras aside from the content readily available in the game disc may not be necessary in making the latest iteration of the demon-slaying franchise more appealing and exciting to gamers.

"With DMC4, we feel that we have created a game that has a huge amount of content right out of the box without the need to download extra content," Kobayashi said about about the issue.

Fans of the series need not let the absence of extras dampen the game, however. After all, Kobayashi made sure that Devil May Cry 4 will surpass all of its predecessors.

» Cool

I HATE downloadable content, at least when they ask for money!!!

Still, I'd like to see a cool costume or something once in a while (like around christmas or halloween :D) lol

Back in the days, you have to unlock those costume. Either you beat the game or you do some sort of button pressing code.

» yay

good that the developer finally give us 100% of the game not 90 or 95%.

» Somthing for your thoughts.

What do you think is better. Having a game at 100% and looking good ^_-, or having a game at 100% PLUS add-on content. I think theres always room for additions even if it looks nice at the current state.

Another think for your thoughts: what do you think the guy who discovered milk was doing to the cow? Lmao xD

» thank you capcom

for making this game a complete package.

most paid dlc are stupid and people that support them are dumb.

only few dlc are logical, and those are rock band and guitar hero music etc...

other non-logical game enhancements should be free!

I like your thinking but you have to realise something...I will put it in a form of a question like you did so you can think about it . When is the consumer benefited , when a developer makes a game with no DLC in mind or with DLC? In other words, will that developer include everything as he possibly can in the game from the start if he has DLC(aka extra money!!) in his plans?

Anyway updates for games are absolutely welcome in order to fix errors or something important. But when I feel like I was cheated to buy an incomplete game just so they can squizz more cash out of me then that's when I get annoyed...

The same applies with sequel type endings...Assassins Creed anyone? I bought the game and expected to have a beginning and end not a half end half start of the next game leaving me hanging like a fool...

The bottom end is that they should inculed everything from the start and if the wish to create extra but free DLC then why not?...

You really have no idea what your talking about do you. Games that have DLC or extra content that you can download, doesn't mean the game isn't 100% from when we get it.

Those additions are to increase the game playability, seeming how nowadays its over 60 dollars to buy a game and im sure most will agree that we want re-playability in our games. Cause whats the point of playing a game that we paid alot for and only to beat it in 14 hours, where's the replay value and is it worth it.

As it stands its kind of a disappointment that DMC4 will not have extra downloads to increase the re-playability of the game but if Kobayashi is correct in his statement then this game will have loads of re-playability.

So and thats what those add-ons you download or DLC will do. Not burn our wallets of money to help increase our gameplay experience, since i want a game that lasts for several months and not just a week thing, cause if thats the case i rather rent games for $10 a week and finish then buy it.

Think before you speak cause you sound like an idiot, no offense mind you.

Ok and you are the smart guy here when everyone else is stupid right? If you cant read any opinions without offending people who express them then you are the true idiot here!

By the way if you have enough money to throw around in DLC's then thats good for you but dont forget that for some people 60 bucks are already enough for a single game... here in the UK a game costs 40 plus pounds retail thats almost 80 dollars...

' Games that have DLC or extra content that you can download, doesn't mean the game isn't 100% from when we get it. '

Who says that ? You and who else? tell that to those who bought games like rock band and guitar hero with the crappy library waiting for extra soundtracks!

I dont usually answer to people like you but you are the one who needs to do some thinking before speaking! Oh.. have fun spending your money on DLC's...

Stop being a whinny tool. You have no idea about DLC, i spoke the truth, and like the saying goes, the truth hurts.
