Devil May Cry 4 video interview: Nero vs Dante, PS3 vs 360 vs PC

So, really? What's the deal between Nero and Dante? Yeah, we've seen a couple of clips with the two guys hacking it out at each other in Devil May Cry 4. But seriously. There has to be something more than just "Hey, you stole my costume, and for that I shall banish you into the 274th level of hell!"

In the video interview below, a DMC4 dev gives us an overall background (i.e. spoilers) of the difference between Nero and Dante - a difference that seems to hinge on their reasons for purging demons. But unlike Dante and Nero, there doesn't seem to be any substantial difference between the PS3, 360, and PC versions. Capcom wants to keep gameplay similar, with a bit of added touch to certain systems to make the most of their particular features.

The ps3 version will be better cuz it will be on one Bluray disc while the xbox 120 version will be on 4 different discs! HAHAHAHAHA...oh and it will also look better because of the amazing power of the cell which means it will be in 1080i and the xbox will only be in 480i. I almost forgot that there will be at least twice as many more enemies on the screen all the time on the ps3 version because the xbox cant handle more than 3 moving objects on the screen at once. you lose xbotx hahahahahahahah a!

It will be different because this was developed for PS3 first. Games only look better on 360 because they are ported to the PS3. A game developed on the PS3 and ported to 360 will look a lot better than the 360 version. This might be the first case of that.

It probably will be on one disc, but the graphics are exactly the same. While the graphics are good in comparison to the previous games I have to say im not that impressed. Go look at that screenshot of Nero close up holding the blue rose, the graphics are pretty bad, he looks very square.

man i think im gettin old or are gamers just getting more and more ignorant. if any of you remember when they first showed devil may cry 4 it looked like the *****. people were like damn the ps3 is gonna be the *****. then they started showing gameplay footage and people were like what the *****...why does this ***** look jake. its because they had to make a graphics engine that would work on all three platforms. so if your smart this basically means they had to downgrade the graphics when they decided to make it for all three platforms so the 360 could handle the *****. im not hatin on the 360 i have an elite im just speakin the truth. check out some of the old videos of the game on gametrailers.com and you will see the difference.

Provide the link to old GAMEPLAY footage from DMC4 which is better than we see now! And I'm not talking about cinematic cut-scenes scenes, I'm talknig about real gameplay. Find it and post it here.

Stop talking out of your a***. There would be absolutely no need to downgrade the graphics on the PS3 IF the 360 couldn't handle it. Last gen, we had multi-format games on PS2, GC, XBox AND PC. When was the PC versions of games downgraded because of the weaker consoles? Why was the XBox version of multi-format games usually the best version, why wasn't it's graphics downgraded? That's right, because the strongest hardware was usually the one able to offer the best version. Yes devs cannot push the hardware quite as much as they could if it was consoles exclusive, but that doesn't mean the final results are sub par (look at all the UE3 based games released and in developement).

So if the PS3 version doesn't look much better than the 360 version then gee, perhaps ALL those developers are right when they said there's not much between the 360 and PS3 in terms of power. But obviously, gamers like you know more than the devs. *rolleyes*

both games will be featured on 1 disc..it was originally for the ps3 and shortly SHORTLY after..microsoft was getting 1 more the 360 also..then the pc jumped in..but we dont care..nintendo and pc are booted out of the competition along time ago..anyway...ps3. well sony is losing alot of money because ps3 isnt being sold enough..along with the game..xbox 360 can go to 1080..i have my settings on it right now..i have a 70 inch screen hdtv wide screen..(not bragging just) and a smaller normal tv..the graphics are different depending if u use hd or not..there are slight differences between 360 and ps3 graphics on this game..just because dmc4 is being made for ps3 first doesnt mean its best..and this has been proven previously with other games..i have both systems and no im not a hardcore nerd..first string american football..i might be wrong on this but..360 will be better or equal of that of ps3..previews dont mean anything so dont argue this comment with OH OH LOOK AT THESE TRAILERS AND THEN LOOK AT THOSE! i viewed all of them..and i can say from a life long gaming point..since sega genesis..games arent usually what they are hyped to be..halo2 anyone?? i have never picked up the dmc series...although i have always wanted to..this is my first time..i thought dante was good in the previous ones..and now hes evil??? whats the difference between the characters...they both have the same weps and look the same..WUTS THE DIF someone tell me!!!!!!!!!!! plz!!!!!!!!!!!!
