Dev talks about Resistance 2, calls it first third-gen PS3 game |

Developer Ted Price was recently interviewed and he talked extensively about the principles behind Resistance 2. Price is as aware as anyone else that the FPS genre is the most competitive one today, so he and his team want to give gamers something that's different from all the rest. They intend to do that by blending the four C's of shooting games and you'll know what those are when you play the clips.
In addition to the touted 60-player online matches, 8-player class-based cooperative online modes will be available. Sony intends to ground the action firmly on the thickening Resistance 2 plot, and they want to do it in spectacular fashion with hundred-foot enemies waiting to be killed. uh, when they say 8 player online co-op, does it mean that i could play with 4 people split screen on my console against 4 other people split screened on another? Halo 3 can do it and i hope this will be able to. I could care less about online co-op for 8 ppl through the campaign story. Once the story is beaten there's no more replayability. I hope they do online co-op 4 on 4 deathmatch. COD4 didn't even do it, now that's lame.
When he says first 3rd gen PS3 game he's referring to INSOMNIAC'S first 3rd gen PS3 game. Resistance was a launch title, Ratchet came out the following year, and this will come out this year.

even though resistance is a great game why is the price tag still $59 dolllars? wasnt it a launch title and part 2 comes out in a few months?
They said that only 2 players are allowed per system for online co-op. They said this since they announced the details of multi-player modes
No replay value.. Thats where your wrong. The single player and online are going to have different stories. One of them is running on the side of Hale's story.
And the point in Co-op is to work together.. why would you want a deathmatch. If you want that you can get online and play in a 8 player game... duh man.

lets talk about resistance 2. hopefully there will be destructable cathredrals with vicars included INSIDE
reduced from 50pounds to 40pounds which is actually cheap. ever heard of conan? well thats actually cheaper, even in dollars for us. £20!
They made a game that makes sense (to them).
