dswWhile Demon's Souls is already wandering into the discount territory in other regions, today would be the day that the game finally launches in Europe.

Without a European arm, Atlus will not be handling the publishing for the game like they did in North America. Namco Bandai picked up things on that end and they will release Demon's Souls only as a limited edition that comes with the usual artbook, soundtrack CD, and a brand new strategy guide written by the fans.

This release has been text-localized into five different languages - English, French, Italian, German and Spanish - and is now available in retailers across Europe, as well as the EMEA and Asia Pacific regions.

Not really! The price is actually nice. 40$ Kind of the same deal they did with yakuza 3 being the premium edition only for 30$...
Anyway, since I have the standard edition imported, I'm actually thinking about picking this up, but only if the saves are compatible...

So can anyone tell if the saves are compatible?

The saves are not compatible accross different versions of the game. I had the Asian (Korean) version, and just picked up the north American version as well. I am unlocking an entirely new trophy set and have no option of continuing from my old save file.
