The iPod isn't the only "place" where you can express your musical tendencies by downloading your favorite tracks and storing them for infinite play. You can also express that freedom with your PSP, Xbox 360 or PS3. The only catch to playing music on the consoles though, is that we only get to play a limited set of music titles that are included in the game. If we don't like them, we would turn the volume down.

If you're going to playElectronic Arts' Def Jam Icon, though, that era of limited music choice is over. This game does sound like a next-gen operetta, but in reality it's a game that'll eat, live, breathe, and kick hip hop ass. It's going to be a melange of photorealistic rappers that'll play their own roles in the game. And it's going to be a game where you can create your own soundtrack and not have to be forced to play whatever title that you don't like on the music playlist.

The XBLM and the PlayStation Network will make all the Def Jam Icon track downloads available by the time the title hits shelves on March 2007.

Sweet.... create your own soundtrack and not have to be forced to play whatever title that you don't like on the music playlist.

» Famitsu, are you kidding me?

I just read an article at QJ site here which mentioned that Famitsu got copies of some PS3 games and reviewed them. Resistance: Fall of Man got 8.25 of average score; since this score is from a country which hates first person killer (shooter) games, I guess other publications will give a lot better scores than that. However this is not the point here.

Ridge Racer 7 got 9? What hell are those Japs smoking at? I watched high definition footages of it and my impression is really bad. A lot of people say even Need for Speed: Carbon which uses a lot of DirectX 9 technologies looks and feels much better. RR7 is all about drifting, and the drifting in this game feels totally unrealistic and plainly easy; moreover, this game has so many jagged edges and glitches too.

I don’t give a damn sh@t to Famitsu; it’s just a small gaming office which is run by small Japanese people in a small country called Jap@n, and I don’t care about their small review scores. After seeing actual review scores of some PS3 games, now I have some ideas on how the next-gen games will get for review scores.

Gears of War which is 100% regarded as the best and most well made game for the Xbox 360 will receive about 7.0~7.5 scores (graphics: 10, gameplay: 6, sound: 6, Etc); this game is totally f@cked up. It can only support maximum of 8 players for multiplayer mode because X360 isn’t powerful enough to support more. My assertion is that if a first person killer game can’t support at least 16 players then it’s same as not having any multiplayer mode at all. The Xbox 360 is just one of the consoles I own (have). I played Call of Duty 2 on this Garbagebox360 for like 5 days. I couldn’t play the multiplayer mode (4 Vs. 4) anymore due to extreme amount of boredom; also the online play is extremely stuttering and laggy; no wonder why so many Xbox 360 owners call the games on the X360 slide shows; single player is just mediocre. Finally, and again, if Gears of War can only support 8, that game is a total joke. Good bye.

Now, it’s this new Gundam on the PS3. This one’s graphics is like 8/10. Moreover, the multiplayer mode is just a standard team death match sh@t. I don’t know how this slowly moving robotic game received 8/10 score. I think any review scores produced in Japan (a crappy country) must be treated as worthless.

Sega Golf got 7, and this game just looks like a current-gen game and couldn’t have received more than 5/10; or this game could have been made for the PS2.

Genji? Kidding me? This got 7.25. This game is just another running-and-slashing game with no brain, there’s no depth to it. They say this game’s challenging for beginners, and from the footages I have seen, it’s only challenging because you have to endure great amount of boredom all the time while playing this sh@t. I strongly suspect that if you want to be a game reviewer in Japan then you have to be a crack-pot; I guess it’s written under the employment policy.

Of course, in the end, review scores don’t mean much (lol, I wonder why I have spent all the last many minutes to write all the above paragraphs). Xbox 360’s launch games got very good scores: Perfect Dark Sh@t, Kameo: a-very-long-and-non-sense-name-which-I-don’t-bother-to-remember, Et Cetera. Those X360 games which got very high scores all turned out to be total jokes.

Anyway, my Xbox 360 console is mainly used as a door stopper while I ventilate my room; this heavy Trashbox360 console will not be even blown away even there’s a hurricane right on it. I’m so surprised that my Trashbox360 doesn’t have the function to dispose garbage in it – like a paper shredder.

» I'll reply this useless comment

I mean, 1st, it's not in the right topic!

2nd: Japan is where everygame is done ( almost ) so you are surely not a gamer, so why do you buy games and consoles if you dislike japan, and games too. You said sonic was graphically current-gen? sorry but do you wear glasses? no? Just what I tough, you need some. The ps2 can run err... not a lot of things... check the gameplay footage of sonic you'll see it exeed anything the ps2 or xbox can run and not only by a bit, but by a LOT!!!

Also, japan is not a small contry :S you surely are an american to say such things, I mean, the most pitifull contry of the world in the united states with their ethocentrism... ( oh sorry is you do not understand the word.... I suppose it's because you are in high school? less? oh you quit school when you were yound.. sorry to hear that..

anyway if you dislike everygame and every console why the ***** are you doing in a gaming forum? you should simply go away from here, I mean, I dislike cars ( always using the metro, I likve my planet and I'll do my small part. ) so I don't go in cars lover website saying: this car suck, this one too!! WTF, I mean, I respect the people, if they like cars, perfect, it's cool, but I won't bash them like a primary school idiot!

please do not post again Mr "famitsu are you ..."

You are useless
