Dead or Alive in development for PS3?

Dead or Alive is heading to the PS3? That's according to PlayStation: The Official Magazine UK. Well, it's still in the rumor bin, but we do know that DoA 5 is a sure go.

According to the magazine, Dead or Alive 5 is indeed in development for the PlayStation 3. Now, although the franchise has been long synonymous with the Xbox 360, this development has significant timing because Itagaki has now severed ties with Tecmo, who is the one calling the shots regarding deals with Microsoft. Now that Itagaki's away from all that red tape, he can go bring his franchise wherever he pleases.

Anyway, again, it's still just a rumor, but with the recent event of DoA: Paradise being announced for the PSP, it's probably just a matter of time before this news item gets an upgrade from the rumor bin to confirmed status.

I enjoyed playing Dead or Alive 2 on the PS2. It was the first none bundled game I bought, actually.

Freaking A! Now I can see Ryu and Ayane the way they were supposed to be seen. =D

Also, I wonder what Team Ninja will do with 50 GB. Maybe a million more swimsuits? lol

this magazine made this very same rumour a while back (like 1 year and a half ago). Needless to say false.

Still hoping though
