1. David Jaffe speaks out about Uncharted movie
2. Jaffe on the Uncharted director

He even had something to say about that incident with the Uncharted director when he attended the screening of actor Mark Wahlberg's The Fighter. He wasn't shy at all about speaking his mind regarding the incident, basically calling David Russel's response to the fan as a dick move.

Here's his statement in it in full, and unedited, so you can feel the absoluteness of his awesome fury:

"What a fucking dick. I mean, given the guy's reputation, it's not surprising. If a fan comes up to you who is clearly interested in what you are doing - even though he may disagree with your way of doing it-there is a gracious way of handling it. And you should not only handle it graciously because it's good PR for your movie (especially when a fucking video camera is in your face and your core fan base is super internet/youtube/viral savy) BUT because it's just good mother fucking manners.

On a Hollywood set and in a Hollywood agency you may be a big deal. Out on the street though, you are just a trained monkey who is there to entertain the people when they see fit (be it with movies or games or songs or comics). So fucking stop with the attitude. I hate that shit."

You can leave it to Jaffe to say things as they are.

Ugh...I'm sure the script is fine, too bad about the cast of Walberg. Certainly it will ruin what would have been a great movie going experience.

Man, what where they thinking?

And I remember when fans of a series would be happy to see a movie made.

I most heartily agree with U!!!!!!
For these main reasons in fact:

Firstly: Fillion almost looks like Drake.
Secondly: Fillion is TALL not a shrimp, like Wahlberg
Thirdly: Fillion has those mature sarcastic facial expressions that I think would wor.
Fourthly: Fillions character in 'Firefly/Serenity' would work as Drake as well.
Lastly: The Uncharted movie needs to stand more on the perfect storyline and climactic set pieces & ending rather than character representation and cast...And Fillion wouldn't even have to try hard to offer a believeble performance either.

you know, the only complaint i've heard about this entire movie adaptation process... is that mark walberg is going to be playing nathan drake. change one damn thing about the movie and fanboys will be happy.

Aren't we all mate!!!!!!!!!!! !
Except for the likes of Micheal Jackson who had his life RUINED from an early age where
he couldn't go out in public because of the FREAKS who would choose to hassle him (and pretty much all Celebs)as we know it,to extreme. Let's face it, before anyone is famous, they are just unknown like you & me, so Y not regard them still as such they havent really changed. In other words Y should anyone really give a F&^k moreover about anyone else just because they regognise them but don't really KNOW them (really). They could be EVIL incarnate for all you know - F%^k'em.I don't giv-a-shit about celebs, but in this case, MARK is definately being miscast, and look, I'm now on a first name basis with the man - Christ!!!!!LOL
