David Jaffe: God of War movie still going strong |

Game-to-movie adaptations have always been a touchy affair, but it seems that David Jaffe, creator of the legendary God of War series doesn't seem to mind it at all. In fact, he's actually looking forward to his own IP being converted into a silver-screen gem, as the most recent update of his official blog reveals. Let's take a look and see what's up with the ol' Jaffe, via a quote from the blog entry itself:
Had a good lunch with the producer of the GOD OF WAR movie a few weeks ago. Some big news COULD be coming on that front soon but nothing set in stone yet. But yeah, the project is still alive! And looking strong!
BUT the funny part is, I was just sitting there kind of gushing over movies, what to go see, what was coming out, etc. Just being a fanboy. And he- the producer of the GOW flick and many other movies, including this summer's GET SMART, which looks really funny- was just so nonchalant about the whole thing.

It wouldn't be hard for them to screw this one up. I hope they find an actor that knows well of the series and makes it truly how it should be. In some ways, I wish they would make the whole thing CG so there would be less likely to show mistakes in the vision of what it is all about.
I think there's a good actor who can do this: Triple xXx Vin Diesel. Is it just me or does he look exactly like Kratos?
I can definatly see Vin as Kratos, he really needs to put on some sculpted weight though...But if this movie is going to be good you bed your a$$ it will be the most epic stuff we wiil ever see! But I would prefer the guy that made the 300 movie to do this as well it just feels right...

Really Vin Diesel can pull this off nicely cause he as the fisique to rol better than anyone.. also the voice is quite good for it. Not sure about the acting tough
See the actor who did Kratos voice to play him, as well as everyone else that voiced from the game. Whats the point of changing it.
If I'm not mistaken isn't the movie being made by Universal Studios? Does this mean no Blu Ray version of SONYs own property? That will suck!
Yes, Universal are making the movie, so if there are still 2 hi-def formats when it hits home release, it'll be HD-DVD exclusive.
