David Jaffe - Image 1At the Game Developers Conference (GDC), Gamespot (by Polybren) was able to score an interview with Sony creative director David Jaffe. They discussed several things from the Game Design Challenge to downloadable games.

David Jaffe lost to Alexey Pajitnov, maker of Tetris at the Game Design Challenge. It's funny that Jaffe just seems to be good-natured about it. The interview also covered the battering the PS3 has been taking in forums (*insert "what's your board again?" here*) and his passion about working for Sony. He also discussed his interest on downloadable games - including indie and casual games.

Jaffe reiterates that right now his passion is on the smaller games, but he is not closing the book on bigger "retail" games so to speak. We know his fans are at the edge of their seats (though we all know that David Jaffe was promoting the downloadable Calling All Cars at the conference).
