Currently under development in the Digital Extremes lab is the upcoming shooter Dark Sector (PC, PS3, Xbox360), where we follow Haden Tenno as he seeks out the sinister scientists responsible for unleashing the monstrous virus plaguing the city.As you guys have probably seen from the screens and the game's teaser trailer, one of the features that the game boasts of is the visual quality of Dark Sector and the emphasis that the devs put on making the graphics more realistic.
So anyway, it's a good thing we were able to get hold of some concept artworks for the game, that way we can see how the characters look like up close, as well as the weapons they wield.
Some of you guys have been saying that Dark Sector really seems like a Resident Evil rip-off, what with the virus element and the tidbit that the hero himself acquires the virus. But a rather interesting element of Dark Sector is Haden's Familial Dysautonmia -- a genetic defect that makes him unable to feel pain. In Potterspeak, Haden would be rightly dubbed as "the boy who lived" because he's the sole being who remained unaffected by the virus.
If you've been reading up on the game, you probably know all this stuff already, so why don't we just get to the part where I bring you the screens, eh? Alrighty then, here's a buncha screens AND concept art for you to feast your eyes on while you wait for the game's release next year.
