Dark Sector from Digital Extremes and D3Publisher certainly has something that sets it apart from the rest of the third person shooter crowd. Throwable glaives make this TPS part slasher and part shooter.

Dark Sector's hero, Hayden Tenno, has been exposed to a biological compound that mutated his right arm, thus giving him the ability to make three-bladed glaives. Pretty handy, right? The glaives can also grab some elements like fire and electricity. Players can also use it to do some stealth kills or maybe just use it as a flashlight. Or if you're not as comfortable with it, you can always use a gun.

Anyway, here's some new screenshots from Digital Extremes and D3Publisher. There isn't much info about the release aside from the tentative Q3, but we'll keep you posted.
