This much we know, Crytek (Far Cry) is currently working with EA on a "new blockbuster title." What the title will be is still a mystery but they are also looking for a PS3 Console Programmer. The job responsibility reads:
  • Development of a Next-Generation GameFramework based on CryEngine 2.0
  • Work on various aspects of porting to PS3 and creating solutions to get the utmost out of the PS3
  • Cross platform code development
  • Create and maintain documentation
  • Complete all tasks in a timely manner and to a consistent high quality standard
Put the two together and we could be looking at a new PS3 game from Crytek and EA in the next few months. Will it be Crysis, Far Cry or something totally new? According to IGN, EA told them Crysis will be a PC-exclusive title, while Crytek's lips remain sealed. Oh, we see - time to play the no comment game!

» time will tell

I think its just too early to talk about a port of crysis. Maybe if crytek gets good results by porting the cryengine to the ps3 they´ll announce that.

Im from Germany and very excited about the GC which starts in less than a month. Perhaps we receive there new information about the game and future plans.

» Let's see...

As long as it uses the Crysis 2 engine, than it's all good.
