Tomb Raider: Underworld - Image 1Microsoft may have snapped up exclusive DLC and demo rights for Tomb Raider: Underworld (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii), but a demo for the PlayStation 3 might not be out of the question yet.

Talking to gaming news site Videogamer, Crystal Dynamics creative director Eric Lindstrom said that the final word hasn't yet been given on the possibility of a PS3 demo.

"I'm not entirely sure." said Lindstrom. "I've been talking to brand, and I don't think there's a final answer on that yet."

Hopefully, Crystal Dynamics will indeed release a PS3 demo for Tomb Raider: Underground, but I really doubt it'll happen. Keep checking back here for more updates.

» Demo rights?

WTF is this rubbish?

What does Microsoft actually think they are going to achieve by gaining exclusive demos of multiplatform games? That goes for Sony too.

What is it this gen and demos? Whats the benefit to to exclusivity of demos?? What happened to the good old days where demos were released for both platforms (if the game was on both platforms) and let the consumer decide for themselves? All i this shows me as a consumer that Microsoft give less that a rats left testicle about their consumers, (or potential) and just what they can throw money at to own. If there was one reason i would not buy an xb360.... actually i dont need one reason, i own a PS3, thats reason enough. But still, the only company to lose out on sales is the dev company. So lets hope they are happy with their decision. I would have thought that demos are free for all. Me as a potential customer... if i cant play the demo on the PS3, i will be relying on the harsh judgment of IGN. That will decide if i even bother with the game at all.
