Crysis, Turok trailers reportedly too similar for comfort |

An entry to Voodoo Extreme's stories at IGN suggested that Crytek's Crysis "Countdown" trailer may have ripped off from Disney Interactive's Turok (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3) E3 2007 trailer which debuted earlier. The big news is that it definitely had similarities, especially in the introduction.
Unfortunately, the whole issue carved out a big battlefield for PC advocates and next-gen console fanboys, each one defending the game that would respectively release for their game platform of choice. It would have been an epic battle, too, if it weren't for the occasional Sony-Microsoft fit flaring up at the next-gen console side.
But common sense came a-knockin' at our noggins lately and pointed out one thing - a definite brow-raiser: the whole concept of "It was supposed to be simple, but..." is a worn-out cliche, anyways. If anyone ripped off the idea from anything at all, it would be the many action, horror, survival movies that came after the absolute first (which escapes our mental grasp), and this claim holds no solid ground.
But we all may agree to one thing: snack of NeoGAF Forums said, "They are different. In Turok something went wrong, but in Crysis something went terribly wrong. I don't understand how you can confuse the two." That said, this blogger rests his case.

Nobody buys a system with no games. When the new PS3 comes out, it will have more hardware to better emulate PS2 and PSX games. It will also have an 80gig HD and cost the same as the economy pack now. Also, if the PS3 was doing so well, Hideo Komija wouldn't have demanded that Sony allow him to develop MGS4 for other consoles in light of the PS3's major problems...

That's not what statistics say dumbass. People bought a ps3 for decent games....... because they didn't want to play Halo or Gears of War *oh my god that's all the good game the 360 has*. People want a variety like Heavenly Sword, Warhawk, Lair, Haze, Ratchet and Clank, ect. Not just two stupid ass good titles.
Do a search for "Kojima" right here on qj.net, read all that *****, and then come back and tell me he isn't disgusted with Sony's handling of the PS3. Or STFU and go back to whereever PS3 fanboys hang out. I hope you like racing games until something real gets released.
I own both consoles and I only own 2 games for my 360 and one of them wasn't even a top notch title. For my PS3 I own four store bought titles and about eight downloadable titles. I use my PS3 every day even if its not to play a game. I haven't used my 360 in over 2 months. I will be using my 360 come August 14th though after I buy Bioshock. My point is that PS3 doesn't have as many titles but they do have quality titles.

well i have to agree with him though. I own both consoles and i tend to play with my ps3 more. I did wish i had more games though because it is getting repetitive but this holiday season we will be seeing more and more great games come out. As for my 360 i lvoe that console to i just play it less. Forza was a fun game but visually failed for me as i felt the textures on the track were awful. Im dying for mass effect badly right now and im waiting for my console to come back from MS repairs as it ringed out on me after not touching the damn thing for 2 weeks which was unexpected since it never gave me trouble.

@ fex - I would definitely pay 50 bucks a year for online gaming y? Because i can actually find my friends online and actually chat with them while playing other titles. I own a PS3 and your shiit is so limited, when you make friends on RFOM it doesnt even transfer to your original friends list plus you cant even see your friends from the XMB.

Third there is no way MGS4 will ever end up on the 360 why because when Kojima says a game is exclusive it stays exclusive simple as that. He said Twin Snakes was exclusive to the Gamecube and oops look at that it stayed exclusive. He also MGS3 was exclusive to the PS2 and oops look at that it stayed exclusive. He also said MGSPO was exclusive to the PSP and oops look at that also exclusive. Besides the game relies heavily on the Cell Processor, Sixaxis and Blu-Ray which the 360 doesn't have. Also you know the demo which was shown recently yeah well guess what it was running on actual Playstation 3 hardware that alone tells you that the game has been in development exclusively for a long time on the PS3. Also in the game when your controlling Metal Gear MK-II you can very clearly see that Snake is holding a Sixaxis controller in his hands. So what does this all tell you. Simple 360 is getting Metal Gear Online alongside us PS3 owners but Metal Gear Solid 4 is staying exclusive to where it belongs and where the series are supposedly going to end. So you can put that in your pipe and smoke it you piece of S.H.I.T

Since it failed soooo miserably i guess they dont have most of europe on their side u moron and not only that with a simple online service u dunt need the hassle of calling ur buddies to get on off a cell phone thats y you have online gaming. So your telling me that you would call your buddy everytime you see him online that's really stupid when u can simply navigate to him. Soo yea when your friend sends u a msg ur gonna call him and be like " Dude what did u write in that msg u know i cant see while im playing RFOM" Plus have you had your Xbox 360 break on you and i guess your not up to-date-date rookie but microsoft announced a 3 year warranty which they would fix there consumers console for free. "Not Bad huh" and, you would get your console within the week. Shiit it happened to me and it took about a week. So as long as i can get my console back in working condition then i dunt care.

ROFL. nintendo was basically a household name in the 80s with the original NES. nintendo had the biggest install base w/ the SNES before the PS came to the scene. with that being the case, the n64 shoulda been at least 2x more popular after the SNES died off...but that wasn't the case. the PS outsold the n64, the saturn, AND the dreamcast *which was supposed to battle PS2*.
think about it, the XBlox 711 is selling just a bit better (2%-5%) than the original XBlox and the sales have slowed down. who won the "race" between the ps2, xblox, and gc again? the ps, the ps2, AND the PS3 have sold at the same pace due to limited library and coding issues, so take that into consideration. sure, the ps3 will not be 1st in this generation, but it won't finish last since the Wii is the guarantee victor...but knowing sony's history, i won't be surprised if they do to M$ what they did to $ega.
How would a cellphone come in conflict with the online facts are facts and PSN will not be better than Xbox Live. Thats why we have Gaming online so that process of picking up your phone and dialing doesnt come to bother. no ***** the PS3 is outselling the 360 it JUST CAME OUT. Thats like saying ohhh look Zune is outselling the black and whie iPod this week, that means more people want the Zune. Wrong. The reason it's outselling right now is because most people who wanted a 360 already got one (11.6 million people) and nobody that wants a PS3 has been able to get one (too expensive and extreme shortages on launch). If you compare the sales of each of the 2 during their initial launch youll see the 360 far surpassed the PS3. Thanks buh bye.
