Electronic Arts and Crytek are partnering up to bring the next Crysis game to home consoles so you don't have to sell your kidney to get a powerful enough PC to play it.
Crysis 2, currently being developed using the cutting edge CryENGINE 3, has been announced for release on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360. No actual game details aside from the announcement, so here's a quote from Crytek CEO Cevat Yerli:
This is not only the next game in the Crysis franchise, itÂ’s the first title we are developing for consoles and the first title being built on CryENGINE 3. We are excited to have the support of EA Partners again as we work together to make the launch of Crysis 2 a huge event.

Also, you don't have to sell a kidney. If you build your own comp you can make a powerful PC with about 800 - 1000$. Give or take preferences on processors and such.
