Bladestorm

The Hundred Years' War in Europe is one of world history's greatest and epic battles ever fought. The simple fact that it lasted for 116 years (yep! not a solid 100 years - from 1337 to 1453) means that it's as large-scale as any other campaign. To base a game on this England vs. France war leaves one to speculate that it would be nothing but mind-blowing.

Koei's Bladestorm: The Hundred Years War is taking arms against a sea of storms and is buckling up for a timely Spring 2007 release. To give you an idea of how big this game is, you can choose between fighting for England or France, with each of them having their own campaigns. The two heroes of the game: Edward the Black Prince and Joan of Arc.

By the way, it's 65,000 characters on a screen at once. Now that's a war.

If you still can't imagine how epic it is, then you're a lost cause. You can redeem yourself however. Let these screens (whole battalions of them!) show you how massive it is...

CSFFlame quit being a fool.. you cant have 65 thousand characters on screen if they were all looking like gears of war characters.. that would take one hell of a machine to let something like that go smooth..

This will be a crazy game , even if it looks the way it does

I don't need more than 10k soldiers on-screen (who will count/see all of them anyway?). I agree KOEI is not doing anything great on the graphics department these days. I hope Dynasty Warriors 6 doesn't suck BAD (graphics-wise) like this one (I'm seeing fingers as breadsticks...SO last-gen...and blurred textures).
