PS3 custom theme - Image 1Ever wanted to create a custom theme for your PlayStation 3's menu? You know, just like on the PSP. Brent posted a tutorial on his blog on how you can do just that.

All you need is a PC, a memory stick, and some imagination. Just as long as you know what you want and you know how to make an image file, you probably won't even need mad imagination skills.

First of all you download the theme tool from the PlayStation website. The theme tool will give you the files you'll need to make your own theme as well as a sample theme.

You're going to have to make a couple of .png image files for yourself (can't expect to customize something without some work). Essentially you'll just be transferring these image files plus some files from the theme tool between your PC and PlayStation 3 via a memory stick.

Follow the Via link for the tutorial.

I dont think you understand how much you can change. This as easy as it gets if you want to change every icon and sound on the XMB. Its not like you download it and pick out of a list of themes (that not creating one, its just picking..) & its pretty simple once you get used to it.
