Could VONGO come to the PS3? |

In an interview conducted by QJ.net with Starz' online digital movie distribution service "VONGO", it was revealed that the service could make its way to Sony's powerhouse console."QJ: Is there any possibility this service might also be made compatible with other digital distribution platforms such as the PlayStation 3 or Apple's iTV in the future?
VONGO: ... As to Sony, we have a deep and long relationship there, as they are one of our largest content partners. There are many possibilities that we see with Sony and the PS3 is clearly one of them."
It should be noted that the interview was conducted in the earlier half of the year, however as of firmware update 1.80, the PS3 has become a DLNA compatible medial player, capable of "seeing" the VONGO media player folder on Windows XP and Vista machines, however, these files still read as incompatible.

according to ALOT of xbots, the xbox360 is mainly for gaming. so then why would you need an online service to sell you videos and whatnot when you're so busy playing gears? because xblm is a gimmick.
PSN isn't a gimmick because PS3 is a gaming machine and an entertainment center, therefore vongo would be a perfect addition to it's already vast capabilities. doesn't vongo charge per month,unlike xblm charging per video? is there a DL limit for vongo? if not the only limiting factors are bandwidth and HDD space.
if you get your head out of the clouds maybe you will see that ps3 is awesome. And this could benefit for sony. Besides the big titles are coming to ps3 in 3 months yeah now what.

I think the only thing stopping it is the fact sony may want to do something like this themselves. If it does happen it will be a second type of vongo called vongops3 or something. Remember Sony makes a lot of movies, which I'm sure are available on vongo, Sony is not going to want to share much of the money the service makes if people are watching a lot of Sony movies, they could make more profit putting them on psn and keeping all profits. I think reaching a deal for fees is the only thing holding it back. What I think will happen is there will be a vongo client only for ps3 that comes as a program you purchase from the psn, just my guess.

I paid the same thing you paid, and got one of the best blu-ray players on the market for $200. It doesn't seem like I overpaid. I would like to see your 360 play a blu-ray disc, go ahead my ps3 plays dvd9's all the time. Go play with your toy little boy.....and by that I mean your 360, you'll go blind if you keep that up ya know.
