Contest: Track Drake's Trail, win a trip to Mexico - Image 1Think the previously released demo was the end of Naughty Dog's good tidings? Think again. We have picked up word that the official site for the PS3 console's Uncharted: Drake's Fortune  is offering a challenge that's sure to test your sleuthing skills.

It's Drake's Trail, a Google Maps-powered alternative reality game (ARG) where your objective is to track down Drake the archaeologist.

It won't be easy - Drake's aware that other unsavory folks are on his tail, so he'll be constantly covering his tracks. You job is to piece together the clues he leaves behind, which will lead to your next destination within the Florida Keys territory.

Those who manage to solve this mini-game will be automatically entered into a random draw, where one lucky winner stands to win (quoting the site):

The winner's prize is a holiday for two on the Mexican island of Cozumel worth approximately €8000. The holiday shall be for the winner and a guest for 7 nights in a 4 star Cozumel hotel, including:

  1. 2 return direct charter flights to Cancun from Gatwick Airport, UK
  2. Transfer to and from Cancun airport (1.5 hours by bus and ferry);
  3. All inclusive food and beverages (breakfast, lunch and dinner
  4. 2 holiday activities (GPS Scavenger Hunt and Snorkel and a Submarine Trip);
  5. £ 500 spending money
Ten other runner-ups stand to win a Sony Bravia TV. We remind the readers that this contest is limited to the residents of Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, and the UK.

The Drake's Trail contest is open until January 31, 2008, at 11:59 p.m. (GMT). Those interested in joining will want to visit the source link for the full contest details
