After we saw the in-game action of Colin McRae: DiRT for the first time in the second trailer, we were in awe of the tight graphics. Now, ready for more sneak peeks?

Codemasters' Colin McRae: DiRT is simply impressive in the graphics department. So how would it be like to drive on a dirt track on a cloudy day? Or how about rally racing in the dusk? The trailers answer these questions in detail. Literally. GameTrailers have the Rally Racing and Offroading gameplay videos. Fast and furious gameplay is mixed with some technical driving stuff and a lot of bashing around on the rails and tumbling on the grass.

Colin McRae: DiRT still has a release date stamped with yet to be announced, but we'll be sure to keep you posted as to when this will be available for your PC, PS3, or Xbox360. We'll stop gushing and let you watch the videos. Enjoy!

» Arcade or Simulation?

I was wondering if anyone knew if DiRT is going to be an arcade rally game or a simulation? I would love to get it if it is anywhere near as good as Richard Burns Rally which was the best Rally Sim ever!

» not to impressed

im not a 360 fanboy, i believe whatever makes you happy is great, im not impressed though by the gameplay though at all....i played PS3 motorstorm and i must say that it was a great game to play...if this is the game that is tryin to match motorstorm, i think alot more is to be done...i know it is still in production, but so far, not impressed

Colin McRae is a rally game and has been around over a decade. I'm glad it's not like Motorstorm. I for one like having more than one environment.

Game looks great but its small by comparison to Motorstorm. The two maps they have shown are significantly smaller then the smallest Motorstorm track.

I would rather have 8 well done and thought out tracks then 20+ small and unimpressive maps. From the game though, it looks certain vehicles can only really be used on certain maps. Like the first video, you wont expect a rally car to do as well as a buggy with all the jumps and bumps and in the second video you cant expect a buggy to do as well with a car since its on pavement.

Motorstorm still looks like it will be alot more fun in DIRT.

» get a clue

please, do get a clue.....

Motorstorm is an arcade wanna-be racing game.. This is a RALLY game, nothing to do with motorstorm, besides the buggies (which are new in the Colin Mcrae series)

The two video's are indeed tracks, the first is a new addition to the game, the second video is an SS stage, which you play after completing the point to point racing days. If you ever played a rally game (let alone saw one in real life or on the television) you would have known this is not the core of the game. The SS stage is the special at the end of a rallyweek in the game. The bulk of the game is played doing point to point races, as that is what defines rally. In between stages you will get limited time to repair your car and change your setup / tires according to the next stage(s).

Please go play motorstorm, and never return here, because clearly you do not understand the art / sport that is rally.

Motorstorm fun? give me a break, really..

» mmmmmm...Excite Bike

All the video made me want is to play Excitebike64. Come on Nintendo! Hook me up on the VC!

» uh...

this just seems boring for some reason. probably because i play motorstorm too much im used to having everything blow up.

» I'm glad too

more variety is good, broader audiences can be reached.

This game is more for people who are into rally sim-like games, if you drive like crazy (as in MotorStorm) you never will finish a race :)

I was expecting more from the graphics department, is close to MotorStorm but not enough and it is unlikely that DIRT's mud effects and track deformation be in the same league.

We need to wait for the finished game for a proper review.
