Three more luscious action-packed Colin McRae: Dirt screens have been released, courtesy of Codemasters. The developers promises us a real turning point in the history of Colin McRae racing games -- an incarnation for the next-gen consoles that support online mode, 100 pilots apart from multiplayer mode, adrenaline-packed events, and obviously, more dirt. The game, as we've mentioned before, comes out in Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC platforms.
Some of the hottest events unfold in Rally Raids, Rally Cross, and Hill Climb. Rally Raids are extreme race events which see you powering through massive sand dunes against huge trucks and super-powered offroaders. Rally Cross events lets you blaze over dirt tracks and gravelled roads, all the while struggling to stop your car sliding off the road. And if you're in for demanding courses that leave spectacular dirt and collision marks on your car, you're likely to fall for the Hill Climb event. It includes the infamous Colorado Rockies course of the Pikes Peak rally, which contains over 150 high-speed turns around the edges of bloody great mountains.
Colin McRae: Dirt will come smashing through our next-gen consoles by the spring-summer of 2007.

I have to say those screenies look pretty realistic... Especially the dust. I'll wait for the trailer/demo to make judgement on getting the game or not, though.

I have to admit. IF the ps3 can produce those visuals during gameplay, it will sell out and keep selling out for months and months to come. You see I said IF. I will be picking up a ps3 next christmas after the first price drop for sure. Maybe sooner. Second gen games are gonna be sick as hell.

That's okay, it's coming for PC, too, and we know that'll wipe the floors with either console. I do find myself wondering which console the screenshots were from. If I get this, it'll be for my 360, just for good controls, easy of playing (no installing malware just to run a freaking game) and sweet, sweet gamer points. ;)
sony and codemasters made the game engine for this game.ps3 will have the best one.and it may even be a time exc .
Expect DIRT to play best on PS3, Xboys...
