Edge of Reality officially announced the development Cipher Complex for Xbox 360 and PS3. Cipher Complex is the company's first completely original title and promises to deliver an intense, cinematic military combat game that will inject "a brutal shot of adrenaline straight to the hearts of next-generation gamers."The Cipher Complex plot revolves around a recon satellite mysteriously blasted from orbit. When diplomatic requests for information are stonewalled, the US government is forced to send Operative John Cipher behind enemy line to uncover the truth by any means necessary.
“The evolution of action games has seemed to plateau, perhaps because of the emphasis on sequels,” Edge of Reality said. “We are exploring and developing brand new styles of gameplay and methods of storytelling. The concept and mechanics of Cipher Complex have been incubating in our mind for years, and with power of the next-gen consoles, we can finally make our dream project a reality.”
Cipher Complex is scheduled for release in 2007.
