that if the church is willing to accept a donation without anything changing, like the game still being pulled from shelves or modified, then I'd say that the church is in it for the money, as bad as that sounds. It's like "if you don't wanna change your game because it's 'bad', then we'll take money and you can continue to do 'bad' things, we don't care anymore." That'd suck for it to be pulled though, because I like Resistance and I own it.

I have yet to meet a church ooer that wasn't a sinner. Hell, sometimes they are worse than the ones that dont' go to church. I came from a very christian country(Brazil) and everyone that I met in church were the biggest hipocrites ever. The church has turned me away from itself.

Seriously, when ANY religion or faith says: "Hey, what you are doing is bad and you should stop" and then turn around and say "We'll look the other way and be quiet... IF you shell out some 'donations'" it is hypocritical to what they're supposed to stand for.



It's a 'shakedown', plain and simple. Just remember that there are bad people in any demographic, not just in one religion or another.

Did they actually PLAY the game? I wonder how this came out now, and not 3 months ago. I bet some random churchgoer saw his / her child playing the game and thought OMG, its liek sacreliguous I must tell the church! so they go off to their Manchester cathedral and start mouthing off about something they SAW IN A VIDEOGAME. Those of course are the magic words. It only takes 1 cunning and corrupt priest to realise the payoff they could get, and they could twist the story to really mess up sony. As far as I remember, when I PLAYED THE GAME YESTERDAY, there was no priests getting slaughtered, or anything like that. It's just a bunch of creatures coming down the walls of a 1950's styled manchester cathedral. No priests, and its not even styled like modern day. So that just tells me how corrupt the officials in charge of this 'Assault' on Sony are.



Someone needs to get a grip or Jack Thompson or whatever his name is will smell the trouble from accross the atlantic and fly over X)



Sony and Insommniac did a great job on the game, and it's clear who's in the wrong here.

I think you are all forgetting that this kind of thing is what is responsible for problems in terrorism, this game, albeit a quite good game all round, is offending a religion by using their place of worship as a battlefield.

I live in Manchester and am not particularly bothered about them using Manchester as one of the main stages of combat because it is kinda putting us on the maps.

The arguments that the church is making is that Sony has besmirched the church by waging war inside one, although the kind of donations they are requesting are rather rediculous, the purpose behind their request is valid and I wish people would give this a bit more understanding before jumping the gun and calling the church a whole load more names.
