"I don't even know how to describe it...it's like getting a bike at Christmas or something." That's how Chris Cole describes the exhilarating feeling of getting on that simple invention that proved to be so great that entire subcultures and social circles are created because of it -- the skateboard.
Some of you might say that this is all so cheesy, and that we're trying to be all deep and profound when really, it's just skateboarding. But see, for skaters and those who belong to the skating subculture, it's an art. And the feeling of riding on that board and the feeling of achievement when you pull off tricks is a different high.
I'm not a skater, so I wouldn't really know half of the exhilaration that Chris Cole talks about. But once you watch the video we have today for Skate (PS3, Xbox360), where Cole talks about skateboarding and what it's like, you'll get a glimpse of why despite all the broken bones, skinned knees, and fractures, skateboarding remains as one of the most popular sports today.
