Devil wanna cry. - Image 1

The latest issue of PSM: Independent PlayStation Magazine says it has some new information on the beloved Devil May Cry series' fourth installment. While the new information isn't exactly "new" per se, it does make us wish we knew more about Nero and what Capcom has in store for him.

According to the mag, we should expect to see some good old staples of the franchise reappearing in new forms. "It's safe to say that the generational leap in hardware has not caused the series to lose sight of what it is: pure, all-out, unforgiving action, writes the magazine. "Many mainstays from the series, including colored orbs, air juggling, and the Euro-gothic aesthetic remain intact - only everything is rendered in eye-blistering high-definition at a locked 60 frames per second."

One other thing you should remember from the preview is that Nero is his own man. While he may look like a clone of Dante, we've been assured in the preview that it isn't the case. "While his standard gun and sword attacks may seem similar to Dante's," the magazine notes, "the animations when using his Devil Bringer are simply gorgeous."

Simply gorgeous, eh? As long as his coolness doesn't start looking more like a Justin Timberlake clone, we're all game for this new title. Oh, and one tidbit from the mag: Playable Dante. How cool is that?

Yeah, I got that magazine. I was so happy seeing Dante as a playable character. I'll still play through the game as Nero of course. It's good to keep the old AND bring in some new characters into the mix. Unlockable Trish and Vergil anyone? One can dream ^_^

# Why do we love DMC and Dante?Guest 2007-04-11 03:46
Lots of my friends are saying that he is the coolest game character ever and I Agree.Capcom create a God!Dante is untouchable and will never be replaced with anyone.

Just how many years does gaming exsist and bunch of games are released but none of them dont have such a memoerable and cool main character like Dante.

Playing with him is adrenalin!

Devil May Cry-most original game name ever,Ebony & Ivory most beautiful guns, big silver sword, best hardcore action game so twisted and crazy, most original enemies and bosses, best music background,...etc...etc!

ummm, it's not a matter of playing through as nero too and there being new characters too. it seems obvious that you will HAVE to beat it as nero before you can even use dante
