The Behemoth's bestselling XBLA beat 'em up sidescroller, Castle Crashers, has been confirmed to be in development for the PS3. The game has already won numerous accolades and has racked up over a million downloads since its release last year.

The game is already in playable form and will be shown off at Comic-Con. GameSpot, who managed to get some hand-on time with the PS3 version, reports that it's pretty much an exact port of the Xbox 360 game:

As far as how the PS3 game looks and plays, the demo that we checked out was already running well and certainly looked to be on par with the Xbox 360 game. The action is smooth and responsive, and the colorful visuals look as crisp as ever.

The Behemoth has so far kept mum on any exclusive PS3 content, but even an exact port would be great as the original was already a whole lot of fun. Definitely another PSN game to look forward to, although we haven't heard anything yet about a target release date.
