If Capcom was soooooo concerned about satisfying more consumers by going back on it's PS3 exclusivity word for DMC4, then they would have released Dead Rising and Lost Planet on the PS3 by now like other multi-platform developers have done for their 2006 X360 games.



Also, by going multi-plat you cannot get the most out of a machine klike you can by developing exclusively. Who knows how many features and extras may be cut because they now have no reason to maximize all 7 SPUs and there's no reason now to put enough content that fits on a Blu-ray disc that can't fit on DVD9. There may have been planned SIXAXIS features that were nerfed as well for all we know.



So this latest feeble attempt by them to explain why they kick Sony fans in the nads is ridiculous. Likely Microsoft paid them extra $$$ for the change in strategy, but they don't have the integrity to admit it.

So The press conference wasn't necessary, neither was thousands of Sony Fan Boys *****ing and groaning over an exclusive title no longer exclusive.

Even IF they moved Dead Rising and Lost Planet to the PS3, The online play would be so crippled (More than it already is...) And they would have to supply their own servers and more down loadable content and updates, etc.

I wouldn't mind Dead Rising or Lost Planet migrating to the PS3, I wouldn't blame Capcom, but wouldn't you say Dead Rising is more of an... American/Euro/Australian/Austria every where else cept SEA/ASIA/JAPAN? I thought the PS3 was doing better in Japan then here, so I am pretty sure that DMC4 would be perfect for the PS3 and 360/PC and Dead Rising/Lost Planet wouldn't be so great for the SEA/ASIA/JAPAN regions on PS3, so we have a hand full of gamers that would buy the game. (PS3 Still hasn't been fully kick started, so Capcom could be having some second thoughts.) It pleases a verity of gamers. You can't please every one at the same time. It's Capcom bringing you games and if you buy it or don't, the Xbox 360 user base will MOST LIKELY fill your posistion. ~10,800,000 X360's to ~1,780,000 PS3's. I'd imagine you are pleasing a bigger crowd. You Sony fanboys are the lamest people I have ever seen..... WHO CARES of it's going cross-platform? Who in hell wants to make an exclusive game for a system with 1.5 million units out, they'd probably LOSE money going solely with the PS3. I may get a PS3 eventually, I've owned both the PS1 and PS2, plus a PSP. If you should be angry at anyone be angry at Sony, who obviously didn't try hard enough to get the exclusive, I can understand all your online picketing and complaining if the damn game was going exclusively to 360 but it's not. And for all you people saying Capcom wants to make money I ABSOLUTELY AGREE however Capcom is a corporation, a company, a buisiness, they are SUPPOSED to make money. With developmental costs this day and age we're nearing the death of third-party exclusives, it does not make financial sense. As far as Dead Rising and Lost Planet, I hear the sequels may make a PS3 appearance, which means as of yet the original PS3 releases may be in the future. Stop fanboying, stop complaining, be happy we're all gamers. PS3, 360, Wii, and of course PC. Be happy more people can experience some of the same games as you and stop being immature with your fanboyism, you people make me sick.

Good to see Capcom trick PS3 gamers into thinking DMC would remain a PS exclusive series. No doubt Sony told Capcom to hold off releasing the news until well after the Japan/US launches.



DMC going multiplatform is another reason not to buy the overpriced and underperforming PS3.



If PS3 is so good, why are almost all 360 versions of games better? Better graphics, better frame rate, better online functions. You name it.

But anyway, like this more people will be able to play it. After all, the games are far more important that consoles.

1st, the ps3 version of games? what are you talking about, they just ported some x360 games on the ps3, dah it's looking less special, it's a port, it wasn't done for the ps3 since it popped 1 year after.

2nd, the list of ps3 exclusive is far more impressive that x360 exclusive so shut up.

3rd, I hate the x360 controller and also hate the noise the console make, and I had one in the past ( returned it after a week of gears of war which I hate, but I loved halo1 and hated the second ).

4th, the best console is not the one who have the more power ( hard to say when you're a fan of playstation ) but the one that have more great games, and right now they are the same since almost no good games popped and I'm still playing on my ps2 with god of war 2 and shining force EXA. Next year we'll see the differance.

Good point however it was c-published by Microsoft Game Studios meaning that couldn't happen, they were smart. Quite frankly I think Sony made a mistake putting God of War II on the PS2, they should have upped the graphics and released it on PS3, THAT would have been their system seller. Or at least PS2 and PS3. Of course another Sony problem with all these years has been the fact that they have had no real exclusives over the years. It all comes down to their internal studios, Resistance was good, but we need more, they need a real trump card that isn't third-party, or co-publish, like Microsoft.

If Gears would HAPPEN to appear on PC, I wouldn't be hurt at all, PS3, Not very much, I wouldn't care too much. Epic is VERY happy with the 360's progress in making sales for their game that they seemed to put much painstaking effort into making. I mean, Epic DID announce Unreal Tournament III for PS3 and PC but No xbox 360. Well, I mean, I am prettttty sure its official that UT3 will be out for the X360.



So In a nuttshell, If Gears made its way to PC (Which would probably happen for PC) and PS3, I wouldn't be too worried or sad about it.

ok i want to say that when the older generation of gamers touched down with xbox or ps3 with thought to some point nintendo and sega was going kick ass,while neo-geo,atari, etc was doing they thing they would not make it. next thing you know sega jumped nin jumped. Seeing as how the head of Epic loves the PS3 so much, if there ever was a Gears 2, then I would guess it will probably be for both 360 and PS3. So this, I would imagine, will have the same effect as DMCis having.

Get it in your head LOST PLANET 1 and DEAD RISING are published by MICROSOFT not Capcom do you not understand that Capcom cannot release those titles. just like Nintendo cannot release the next Banjo and Kazzoo(whereas MS are going to)because Rare is now part of MS.

i know im prob gona get ripped apart for this but maybe this is a start for the future of video games, maybe in the future they won't be any competition and Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo will work together to give us (the consumers) the ultimate console, then no one will be left in the cold, prices would be lower, and everyone could play everyone online
