Chun-Li - Image 1Capcom community manager Seth Killian thinks game development is a balancing act. On the one hand, you have to listen to what fans have to say. On the other, you have to make sure that what the fans want won't result in disastrous balance issues.

This is pretty much the reason why you won't see Chun-Li throwing screen-filling fireballs in Capcom's Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix.

"The Chun-Li [super move] was basically this giant puffball super that she has in some other games that would’ve just totally changed the nature of her," said Killian. "It’s like if you gave Blanka a dragon punch; he wouldn’t really be Blanka anymore.”

Apart from balance issues, the game's original code was also responsible for the non-inclusion of some fan requests. Certain requests had to be sacrificed  "because the code is so old and weird."

Of course, Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix still has quite a lot going for it. For example, Akuma, who never had a super move in the original game, now has one. You'll have to find out about what else the remake has up its sleeve when it hits PSN and XBLA later this year.

I agree

I've been waiting for this game since they announced it back in 2006.

You'd think they'd finally release it...

I hope this doesnt end up being another Duke Nukem Forever lol

angel online is now released in japan PSN, a game much much harder to port than ssf2hdr.

if Home beats ssf2hdr's launch, i will not buy this anymore.
