An improved Flash Kick in Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix - Image 1 Guile players may remember the Air Force lieutenant as a solid character who once had some glitchy moves in the original Street Fighter, but he has come a long way since then. This is especially true since Capcom has gone and rebalanced Guile in Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix.

Capcom and David Sirlin noted three major changes to Guile's techniques in Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix:
  1. A new Flash Kick - The roundhouse version of Guile's trademark move now travels more forward and diagonally than it did before. There's a trade-off, though: a whiffed Flash Kick leads to a deadly amount of recovery time. Nevertheless, it still offers better mid-range offense and an escape versus cross-ups.
  2. New characteristics for the Upside-Down Kick - It's now an overhead attack, and it may be activated from any range. Like the new Flash Kick, it also has a weakness: the Upside-Down kick now has 20 frames of startup, making it a slow move.
  3. An improved Super move - The range of the second Flash Kick in the series has improved a bit. All the hits of the Super now knock down and juggle. Also, players who had trouble with the original command for the move now have an optional command for it: charge down/back, then perform the command for Sagat's Tiger Knee.
WIth a new Flash Kick, a better Upside-Down Kick and an easier-to-perform Super, it seems that Capcom has breathed new life into this defensive Street Fighter character.  Stay tuned for more character updates regarding Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix as we get them.
