Capcom: Resident Evil 5 to remain multiplatform |
Listed in: PS3, Xbox 360 Tags: Capcom, Microsoft, Sony
Ó

Resident Evil fans worried about the upcoming sequel to become exclusive to only one platform, rejoice. In an act of almost-unsolicited rumor-bashing, Capcom has finally come out and confirmed that Chris Redfield WILL be blasting away zombies on both the Sony PlayStation 3 and Microsoft Xbox 360.
This statement comes directly from Capcom Senior Director of Communications Chris Kramer who was queried about certain speculations going around that Microsoft had secured Resident Evil 5 (PS3, Xbox 360) as an exclusive.
The speculations themselves are based on some online retailers only listing the Xbox 360 version, and not the PS3 one. Kramer explains that they haven't quite disseminated information about the game yet to the retailers themselves, so it's more than likely that it's just a hiccup in the system. In fact, Capcom plans to have both versions out at the same day, much like Devil May Cry 4 (PS3, Xbox 360). So put those doubts to rest, and practice your headshots.

it's not going to help you.
the xbox 360 is trash, made from cheap, unreliable components.
by all means, keep your halo.
but stop using your infinite money resources to influence developers into bringing brilliant games to your *****ty console.

Its one of Playstation's biggest franchises, it never even saw an Xbox 1 release, what make you think Capcom will sell out this time around?
Don't blame MS if you don't have many great games to play - blame sony for blowing their load on Blu-ray rather than securing 3rd party devs to make decent ports that can perform AT LEAST on par with the 360 versions. So far pretty weak..
But if by some cruel stroke of fate it does go 360 exclusive, I will have a long satisfying laugh at your expense while I'm headshotting the undead.

but then why (with a few notable exceptions, i.e. first party games) is the 360 outperforming the PS3 in graphics frame rate and gameplay?
its anyone's guess, but the PS3 fanboys are just so bitter an angry that their precious console hasn't being blowing away the 360 since day one like Sony promised.
Remember the months before the PS3 launch? all the fan boys caiming that PS3 is going to destroy the 360 out of the gate? ask the same fanboys, and they'll claim the 360 has been out a year longer. okay - any fool can see that, but what happened to "next gen doesn't start until we say so?"
it's inevitable that in the upcomming months and years that dev will have a much better understanding of the hardware and architecture, and the games with be noticable better looking and maybe even have better game play than the 360 versions. It's garaunteed to happen. there's no stopping it.
just remember that Xbox 1 with its superior graphics and Xbox Live was still unable to surpass the PS2 with its huge library and installed userbase (something the PS3 is lacking - for the moment)
chill out PS3 fans, your day will come, trust me. Xbox 1 never made it to number 1 status, but that never ruined the experience.

logicbomb.de?
Where did you get that idea from? The 360 has a slightly more powerful GPU, the PS3 has a sligthly more powerful GPU and overall is slightly more powerful on paper, but that's it.
That's why the performance is so similar between both consoles today and will remain so throughout this gen. :)

But like I said, it's not "garaunteed to happen" that PS3 games will look much better than 360 games because both consoles ARE of similar power, as confirmed by every dev working on both consoles when asked, including most recently the Sony-leading multiformat dev Criterion in Podcast #15 on their website;

i'm personally not too concerned either way as I will inevitably own a PS3, the only thing keeping me from buying it is the price, also a personal philosophy to only pay money for games for ONE console at a time.
sorry PS3ers, your champion ain't so buff after all...
but don't take MY word for it....
