Resident Evil 5 Capcom - Image 1Those hoping for a PC release of Capcom's upcoming zombie rampage Resident Evil 5 (PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360) shouldn't get their hopes up any longer. Apparently, a gaming website Spong quoted Capcom's Keiji Inafune in an interview with the following juicy reference to a Resident Evil 5 for the PC:

As for Resident Evil 5, all weÂ’ve done is shown the trailer and weÂ’ve been instructed not to say anything more to anybody...not just you press guys ... anyone. Other than it is scheduled for release next year on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.

When contacted for clarification, however, Capcom said that Resident Evil 5 is slated only for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles. "Our UK office will be following up with Spong to have this corrected," Capcom said about the issue. It's sad, yes, but do take note that this is not an outright "no" statement - there's still a chance that yes, Capcom will do Devil May Cry 4 and publish a PC version of RE5 - with all the good stuff thrown in.

As with DMC4, RE5 is designed on the PC, then ported to the consoles. It is very likely we will see a PC version, because it is rather easy for them to do so.

"anyone. Other than it is scheduled for release next year on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360"

That mean it is coming for the PC right?

This ISN'T COMING TO PC. Capcom just said it isn't coming, so that's that.

I know English is a difficult language for some of you kids, but I don't see any comment from Capcom that the game isn't coming, it just isn't coming right away. Personally, I have always seen the game as a console game, ever since the first RE1 on PSX. But when RE4 was released on PC, mods were created to make the experience even better.

read my message and read the article....

I first asked if it was a typo because it clearly states

"Other than it is scheduled for release next year on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360" which says PC. I can careless because i own all 3 consoles and a gaming PC. According to that statement unless it was just a typo it says its going to be released next year on PC, Xbox 360, and Ps3. So calm yourself you look like an idiot.

Fear not boys and girls...it may not come to the PC next year but it'll still come to the PC because there are still many PC only gamers out there! Sure a lot have given into consoles - but ultimately nothing looks sweeter on a super rig!

Either way though the bread and butter will come from the console sales (at almost twice the price of the PC version it kinda makes sense to focus on the console for at least a year first with any title - but I'm sure we all knew that already).

# well seeing as this is the case then...xche78x 2008-06-06 17:46
Alone In The Dark will be getting My Money First.

after playing with grid demo on 360 PS3 and PC, i have decided to purchase the PC version of any multiformat game. those console versions can never stand up to what the pc can deliver. and i only have geforce 8800gts640, e6600 and 2x1gb ddr2 standard sticks. and heck i can even play DMC4 demo with everything maxed out on 1366x768.

Capcom knows most people will just download it PC...especially since it has no multiplayer, it's the perfect pirate game....

Why do you think Epic has decided to go console only...

I DID read the whole article but they don't put down the words of capcom stating otherwise. They use their own words without any "" but when they did use "" they put down PC... So reread and come back.
