Capcom Japan: Street Fighter IV sequel announcement coming soon |

There's a Street Fighter IV (PS3, Xbox 360) sequel coming, Capcom's Natsuki Shiozawa said so himself in Capcom Japan's official blog. We're not really sure how much of a "sequel" this actually would be, but he did indicate that an official announcement will be made soon.
Again, all eyes turn to the next hottest event in (out of) Town, the Tokyo Game Show. IGN has noted that this "sequel" need not necessarily be a brand new entry to the series though. Which is possible too, considering how we've seen the likes of Street Fighter II Championship Edition join the franchise line-up.
We'll wait for that announcement that's been promised to come soon.

Lets just hope its like a 1 gig or less update and not some new game,were they add 4 more people and call it the next edition with more balance.
If its a new game though they'll need at least 10 more characters and maybe 4 or more being brand new.
I'd like to see them negate the whole storyline of SF3 though, I hated how all my favorite characters were "old" and replaced by that new generation. Make SF5 take place after SF3 but have no mention of that games story or characters. Liked the engine but not much else.
SF4 is simply sub-par. Personally, I don't like any of the new characters in SF4. The additions to SF3 weren't that great either, but the game play was so much better, and the graphics were amazing for 2D. I wish they'd go back to 2D instead of this Street Fighter EX 4 we're playing now.

or else it would have said something along the lines of new street fighter sequel. Pegging it as Street Fighter IV sequel makes it seem to be like an expansion to it of sorts.
