Wondering when Sony will launch Ad Hoc outside Japan? Don't get your
hopes up too high.There are a couple of reasons to believe that it may not go Westside anytime soon, but then there are also reasons to believe it will.
Some guys from the Capcom forums discuss the subject, and since it was their game that first supported the program, they should have a good idea of what's up.
Yuffie, a moderator for the Capcom forums, has several reasons to believe it may not come to the West. First of all, there are alternatives that are cheaper than having to get a PS3 (which you'll need for the service to work in the first place), like Kai. And then there's the 20 GB model of the PS3, which doesn't even have WiFi.
Christian Svenson, Capcom's VP of Strategic Planning and Business Development, is more optimistic though. He says that Sony's data indicates that 50% of PlayStation 3 owners already have a PSP, so:
There's a sizable audience of people who can be playing. I'm cautiously optimistic that for games like MH that Ad-hoc party is going to breathe new life into the communities and potentially into the platform.
That said, I've got no idea when it's coming Westward. It can't happen soon enough in my opinion.
So there are the arguments from Capcom. Hopefully, we will see the service launch in other regions sometime soon, but right now, we can only cross our fingers.

with mhfu because they did announce the adhoc freatures to be linked through the psp and ps3 so i'm very confindent it's coming out, otherwise it be pointless to launch mhfu after all those announcements........
oh well if there is a 1% chance it won't come westward I'm already playing adhoc party with my japanese account
