Calling All Cars! - Image 1

Good news for all those hardcore Calling All Cars fans who were waiting to see what sorts of downloadable destruction they could bring upon civilians. David Jaffe, one of the game's developers, said that the game was, for lack of a better word, done.

Here's what he said on his blog:

Incognito sent the code off to first party QA a few hours ago for weekend test. If they find no serious bugs, it goes to Format and will be up on the network soon!

If there are bugs, the Incog guys will tackle them over the weekend.

But 99.9% sure, those bugs will not be design related. This late in the game, they never really are.

Because of that, I think it's safe to say that the designers on the game- and probably the rest of the team- are done with this thing!

That's great news and all, but don't expect the game to hit the PlayStation Network to hit immediately after this announcement. According to Jaffe, there's a difference between the "Done" and "Gold" statuses, because even if the game is finished, it still needs to go through some additional hurdles before Calling All Cars can finally go live on the PlayStation Network.

Still, that does mean one thing: expect it to come out in April, and expect it to make you smile.
