Call of Duty 4: Over nine million sales since launch, PS3's Variety Map Pack delayed for Europe - Image 1Activision's Call of Duty 4 (PC, PS3, Xbox 360) exceeded over nine million sales worldwide since its launch, according to the latest figures presented by the NPD group.

As big a figure as that sounds, perhaps even more ludicrous would be the status on CoD4's downloadable content. Robert Bowling further notes that the newly released Variety Map Pack had clocked in over one million downloads for the first nine days.

In line with this, XBL players reportedly logged in over 30 million sessions, totalling over 30 million hours of gameplay for he same time period. Take note that these numbers are just for CoD4's pack on the Xbox 360.

The Variety Map Pack's PSN port isn't expected to hit North America until April 24 for a price of US$ 9.99. On a related note, the Europe release has been pushed back from May 1 to May 4. Check back with us again the event of any further related news.
