Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare PS3 patch now live- better servers and more

Remember when we reported that the patch for the Sony PlayStation 3 version of Activision and Infinity Ward's Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (also available on Xbox 360 and PC) is on track? Well, you will probably be pleased to know that the patch has just been released.

Fans of the game will probably appreciate the new optimized servers and improvements to both the Sniper Rifles and Acog attachments (no delayed shots). In addition, players will also be getting new Kill Cams, a Quick Mute option, and a recently met players list on the PlayStation Network.

Those who plan on patching their game should know that the 12 MB patch automatically applies itself to the game when it is launched.

when i got the update it said "a new update is available for this game" then showed "1.20" below and of course i ok'd it. the download is was 9956 kb(the last 2 digits are guesses, i just remember the first 2 digits.) which doesn't read as 12 mb last i checked.

who cares if the article was off 3mb? by the time the update installs it might end up being 12 anyway. they release a patch but the update list doesnt have DS3 support? wtf?

the point of what i said was just to say that it is wrong. not that it is a big deal or anything.

i could care less about the space cause i bought a 80gb ps3(i have an old pc with 30gb and haven't come close to filling it up)
