Call of Duty 3 - Gameplay Footage |

Some nifty footage from Activision's next entry in its World War 2 first person shooter franchise, Call of Duty 3, has come to light. What we've got here is a soldier moving carefully through a war torn environment even as shells explode and buildings crumble all around him. There's also a cool segment that gives you an idea of how hand to hand combat will work in-game. Though this footage comes from the Xbox 360 version, what we've heard is that the PS3 version will sport a few extra light sources among other minor visual flourishes (cue flame wars). Before you start though, I should add that it is expected that both iterations will be nearly indistiguishable from one another.

Barely loooks like an improvement over Call of Duty 2. Doesn't look worth it if you ask me. It seems exactly the same but with hand-to-hand combat and slightly better smoke effects.

Looks very nice visually and in the audio department. Game play looks a lot better then CoD2, the controls actually seem like they are meant for the console. Not just some *****ty port over to the console and slap a $60 price tag on it. With horrible controls.

This game looks sick!! Im so buyin a 360 to play this!! The ps3 is obviously better and I dont know why my M$ bretheren are tryin to make it out like its better than the ps3 because its not... ps3 has a lil bit better grafix and blu ray!! and dont mention that the 500$ model is basically a smaller hard drive.... (i think) i could be wrong but Im gettin a 360 1- because I hate Playstation games 2- 360 cost less and I dont even have a hd tv like 60 or 70 percent of the population... and plz I dont need a game thats 30 gigs... Im not going to spend my whole life playin some game... And anyways id be glad to switch cds or put half of it on my HD just as long as they make it so when i get half way through I dont have to put in disc one boot up the game and then load it and put in disc 2

ya it looks pretty good, graphics wise, they are on par with the current COD2, although with added touches like grass and shrubs laying down when they get stepped on, or how there will always be more than 24 people on screen, and up to 24 players online, COD3 will be a hit dare i say as much as Halo 3....maybe. Plus the melee combat looked awesome, but how are they going to implement that gamplay into online matches

Wake up please!" so charging me £50 for games on dvd discs isnt ripping me off either? or the fact x360 + hd-dvd player (when released) will almost make it same price as a ps3, and then you get more for your money with ps3 than 360 (slightly beter graphics, web browser, bigger hard drive). all fanboys, do research into what your saying before you mouth off.

guys this game is not for xbox 360 and ps3 look and the right side of the trailers its says nintendo WII. that means that was play it on nintendo wii no ps3 or xbox 360..but the game is for all systems so im happy with my xbox 360...

I have never been more amused with idiotic fan boyish comments in my life. Let’s look at the facts: PS3 has more theoretic power than the 360: Fact Xbox had more theoretical power than the PS2: Fact Sony made a little mistake last time around with making their console less powerful but more cost effective. I see history has not repeat it’s self. Look, the PS2 owned the XBOX because it had good games. If it weren’t for games like Halo 1 & 2 the Xbox would be done. It all comes down to games and because of the PS3’s Japanese support, by default, it will have great games. It’s kind of funny when you think of it because the XBOX had no Jap. support and you saw how well it faired against the PS2. I currently own a Xbox 360 and I must concur after playing all it’s games only a few were decent and those had better PC releases too. Because of the harder to develop architecture of the PS3 the games which come out must utilize it’s power and in tern be better games. Unlike the easy to develop 360 titles which don’t deliver a next gen experience at all. It’s very sad how I have a supposed next-gen console but I play my PS2 instead :(. lol, a little bit late now but yea, Call of Duty 3 does look very good, not Halo 3 good, but good nevertheless.
