Buy Dragon Age: Origins new, get free stuff |
Ó

Electronic Arts has detailed the launch DLC line up for BioWare's Dragon Age: Origins. Similar to what Microsoft and Turn 10 are doing for Forza Motorsport 3, this seems like a plan to trip up used game sales.
Those who buy the game new will get the Stone Prisoner DLC for free. This pack includes a new Golem character as well as the Blood Dragon Armor. If you buy the game used or if you miss the April 30 cutoff date, you'll have to shell out US$ 15 for the golem.
The game's Digital Deluxe Edition will also come with its own freebie called The Warden's Keep. This will include a new dungeon-exploring adventure, exclusive items, and new player abilities. Those who don't spring for this edition can still download it for US$ 7.
Dragon Age: Origins launches November 17 on PS3, PC, and Xbox 360.

I never buy used games. I am not sure how gamestop or other stores work, but here in canada all we have is EB and a couple microplays.
EB rips people off so I refuse to deal with them. They give you $9 bux for a game and then go and sell it for at least 5 times as much.
Not to mention the horrible prices, you get a used game for $5 cheaper then the current retail price....like wtf, sorry i'll just pay the extra $5 and get myself a shrink wrapped game which guarantees no scratches and I know I am getting a manual etc....as well as supporting the developers not some rip off game store.
Thats what all "buy and sell again" places are like... they rip ya off and charge near full price afterwards... it's not just eb games.
BTW - I thought DA:O was either delayed or not shipping on PS3 same time as 360/PC...
Whats the word QJ?
nvr mind. It's out like 10 days after the others. (thanks wiki)
the local used store i frequent gives about 50-60% of what they sell it for, which is reasonable since it's a gamble the game will sell anyway.
also they refuse to take scratched discs.
oh hating EB: that works if they don't take the 5 non-preorders out of the box and put them on the wall for "displays"... stupid *****s, toys r us had paper slips 20yrs ago, get with the program.
this is as bad (to me) as buying clothing to wear it once and then returning it.
