We're getting another free update for Burnout Paradise! Well, it's not quite like the free DLC packs like before - more like a patch update, really. Though the update doesn't include new cars, that doesn't mean it's going slow on the fast lane either.

Making up for fresh content, Criterion Games will be rolling out new features and tweaks. The patch update scheduled for February 6 will include the following changes and additions (see full descriptions through the Via link below):
  • In-Game Browser Site (PC and PS3-only)
  • In-Game Store
  • Vehicle dynamics overhaul
  • Stunt Run Timer Reinvented
  • Rebalanced Events
  • Road Rage Tweaked
  • Vibrant Visuals
  • Restart is in
  • Barrel Rolls for Beginners

Just so you know, this Feb 6 patch is different for the Party Pack that's going live on Feb 5.

The new Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box, which includes all content updates and the upcoming Party Pack, for the PS3 and Xbox 360 will hit European and Asian retail also on the 6th of February, with the PC version being released worldwide on the same day.

The restart feature shoulda been in the game in the first place ._. Nonetheless, the update looks pretty good

from Criterion:

"You ask %u2013 we deliver. Restart is in! You can now quit or fail an event and choose to restart it. We%u2019ve always enjoyed the feeling of freedom that Paradise City%u2019s open world delivers, but we appreciate that as you run low on events towards the end of the game, you can spend a little too long in transit." Great! This was the main reason I did not get into this game when it first came out.

Awesome! I've had this game since a couple weeks after launch, and I have barely played it. Reason: no restart. This update is exactly what I've been waiting for! I don't know what they're doing to make profit, but whatever it is, I am very satisfied!

Vibrant Visuals

They are overhauling the colors on somethings For instance: - Billboards (bright red) - Smashes (yellow) - Super jumps (blue) They are brighter to make them easier to spot. Oh and they also pulse

I know this is great

That was the only thing about the game I hated, there are very few faults other than that. Now it won't be a problem I hope more than just the party dlc has new Achievements, since I love those things and the party pack isn't appealing to me

except...

The billboards now look ugly as hell and blue is not a great color for those Super Jump cones...

@valiX

Dont hate, congratulate.
