Burnout Paradise DLC update: Big Surf Island, screens and details |
Ó
Criterion Games just gave an update for their upcoming premium downloadable content for Burnout Paradise (PS3, Xbox 360). The place is called Big Surf Island and will be featuring the "Dust Storm" Car (which will, of course, be made available when at the same time as Big Surf Island).
As the pictures below depict, the setting is mainly a tropical-style vacation spot and big air ramps and locations will be fairly common.
Although they did mention during their podcasts that Big Surf will be free to download, the amount of time and effort that's gone into the making of this DLC has convinced them otherwise. It will be pay to play. A pity, but if there's truth in the credo, "you get what you pay for," then this isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Comments [refresh]
Criterion has supported it's game so much for free up till now that I really don't mind paying for this and future items.
i can't beleive they still sticking with this game, EA got a big thing on their hands no wonder y they gave up on nfs
pay to play?
they're dreaming!
when ya pay over $100 for a game here in AU and then pay to play on live devs have ***** all chance of getting any more cash out of us. they have already ripped us off with the price of a *****en game!!!
criterion you may as well give up now! you're retarded! who the hell even plays that crappy game any more anyway?! losers with no other games, thats who!
Sorry it's like that out there. Hell, send criterion a letter saying you spent over $100 bucks for it. Other than that, you should have bought the US version. PS3 isn't region locked.
Who plays that game? apparently, a crapload of people. There were over literally 90k people on the last time I played, and that was at ONE given time. They supported the hell out of this game for FREE up until now, with tons of updates, and you complain about the price of the game? Well I'm sorry you're about 30 and live in your mother's basement or otherwise and are too lazy overweight, ugly, and dumb to get a job, but hey, it's not our problem.
tl;dr version: Shut up and learn your facts before you say something stupid.
i would pay this game rocks
i would pay this game rocks and i got mad games
