IGN reports that on Friday, March 23, Sony will make available a new in-game Buddy List for Evolution Studios' dirt-n-dust loving racer MotorStorm. The release of this new Buddy List will coincide with the the European launch date.

The update can be had via a downloadable patch that's activated automatically when users log in (after a quick reboot). Once installed, the update will implement a "Buddies" line to the boot screen located underneath the "Play" icon.

Your online friends and your current status can be viewable from this hub. Also, if your friends are online, they can be linked directly through the MotorStorm list. The list will also include a built-in feature that should prevent folks from infiltrating a set game list. This means that users will need to be connected with a buddy to get in.

Thanks to Kutibh Chihabi for the heads up!
