If you'll remember, Activision slapped Double Fine Productions with a lawsuit concerning Brutal Legend (PS3, Xbox 360) back in June. The lawsuit cast a shadow over the game's planned October release, but now it seems everything's finally good to go.

Activision recently confirmed that the lawsuit has been settled, although they declined to give out any details. With this, all litigation between the companies involved -- including the game's new publisher Electronic Arts -- have come to a close.

The LA Times also reports that a person familiar with the goings-on of the settlement confirmed that Brutal Legend will meet its planned October release. The same source also explained that Activision chose to settle after a Santa Monica judge said that he was strongly inclined to rule in Double Fine's favor.
