Bring on the insane speed in Fatal Inertia videos

Ó

We're sure some of you have downloaded and tried the Fatal Inertia demo on your Xbox 360s, but in case you haven't, we have a couple of gameplay videos for you.

Koei's Fatal Inertia is a futuristic racer that mixes insane speeds, hovercrafts, and a sort of midair demolition derby. In the videos, we see just that. We see a couple of ship choices from the videos - a big hulking one and a smooth and sleek looking model. Your ship of choice should depend of your racing style, like if you want to go and bash your opponents to smithereens, it would be best to take the big and hulking hovercraft (which looks like it has the hull integrity of a tank), right?

Anyway, check out the two Fatal Inertia trailers and tell us what you think. By the way, the PlayStation 3 version is still stamped with the dreaded "indefinite delay", but we're going to keep our hopes up anyway.

# It's nice but...Guest 2007-08-05 03:20
Isn't that a clone of Wipeout.... I thought it would have been more 3d flying race.

# im disappointed too..Guest 2007-08-05 03:46
The graphics are impressive, but it alrdy looks like a boring racer. The level courses look too easy compared to the ones iv seen Wipeout and f-zero. So the focus would be on weapons.

And from the looks of it u arent able to use the environment as much as they told in the first trailers. So its just racing circles very fast with no cool looking weapons or futuristic lvl designs.

# WTF?Guest 2007-08-05 03:59
Why is this even being posted in the PS3 section? The graphics, while it may have some good shaders, it in general lacks any detailed geometry. This is a waste of UE3.

The speed of this racer is just too slow...

Wipeout moves much faster then this game. The sense of speed here is terrible. The Turbo boost speed shoudl at least be the normal speed and teh turbo should be faster.

soooooooooooooo o boring. cant stand it. i thought it was going to be a plane racing game. but turns out its a hover craft racing game. you have to constantly pull up to kep yourself from hitting regular ***** on the ground. the wings provide no lift. yet the CPU's stay up in the air with no problems. bad game design and really boring.

# Anyone else was dissapointed by the demo?Guest 2007-08-05 08:33
I was looking forward to this game since it was announced at E3 06. I downloaded the demo and what a disappointment! I can see why they've made it multiplatform. They knew people aren't going to be interested in it.

I think all the previous 'screenshots' were actually pre-rendered snaps. Because the video quality is nowhere near as good and realistic-looking as the screenshots they've been feeding us for months. Thank God for demos, allowing the turkeys to be exposed prior to plunking down $60.
