Bozek on SingStar and SingStore: The end is actually the beginning |

Bozek said that SingStar is now in its final stages of development and their team is getting this funny feeling that the end could very well be the start of something new. We know that sounded a bit whacked out but the game director explained with clarity,
Now that we have come to the end of the project, I feel like we've got it all figured out and it feels like now we can really start. Like, "Yeah, now we all know what we're doing, let's make this game!" Should this worry me, or maybe my team, or even my boss? I hope not...
Furthermore, Bozek's reflections focused on game development saying that a developer can never really know how things will come together until he/she is finished. And we can't help but agree. We are in the age of dynamic video games, where they constantly evolve and respond to us gamers.
Enough about musings, Paulina Bozek is happy to announce that SingStore is finally up and running in their studio and there are hundreds of songs ready to be downloaded. Bozek said that it's all about variety and choice and they are now on the process of adding lesser known songs that they want to be included. She remarked,
We're also starting to think about all the less known songs that we want to put up there. It's all digital now, so space is no longer at a premium. We no longer have to agonize over the perfect 30 songs on the disc and we're looking forward to having some fun with it.

I have visited the following websites: 1UP, GameDaily, GamePro, GameSpot, IGN, OPM (magazine), Playside, Wikipedia, Edge (mag), Joystiq, Kotaku and QJ of course.
After this data-gathering procedure, I have read about 30 different articles (previews, essays) which talk about Killzone 2. Actually, Killzone 2 was shown to journalists at this year’s GDC expo just a few weeks ago. Many journalists who work for big companies like IGN and such were among those who actually watched the actual gameplay footage.
The following is the list which contains some important information about KZ2.
- This is April, and Killzone 2 will be released in September (the final and retail version is only 5 months away, and the public still hasn’t got anything (screenshots or actual footage).
- Many journalists said that KZ2 has big chance to destroy Halo 3 and become the true Halo 3 killer when KZ1 failed to do so.
- Killzone 2’s official name will be ‘Killzone 2: Fall of Halo’.
- We will still never hear anything (any info or tidbits) about KZ2 until this July 13th when this new E3 2007 is held.
- Above ‘Killzone 2: Fall of Halo’ is my joke...!!!
- This game’s retail (final) version has a very good chance to become technologically and graphically the most advanced game in the whole world. Many said that KZ2 looked as good as Crysis.
- It was like watching the Next-gen ‘Black’. Everything which was hit by bullets and missiles were realistically destroyed and penetrated.
- It has extremely impressive lighting and shadow effects including the super-amazing sky and clouds.
- The environments (indoor and outdoor) are wonderfully detailed.
- The characters were meticulously detailed.
- The short KZ2 footage was started in an outdoor environment. There were vehicular units like futuristic chopper and fancy-looking tanks. The soldiers moved into some cathedral-like building soon after. Many Helghast units encountered with our soldiers in a room. A journalist even wrote that it was like watching Hollywood blockbuster action movies.
- The sound effects were blowing away the audience.
- Guerrilla Games have 120 employees (only counting programmers and graphics designers). Sony has spent about $10 million until Jan of this year on KZ2. Sony confirmed that the total budget for KZ2 is $21 million.
- Epic has 90 developers. Gears of War needed $9 million to make. KZ2 must be better than Gears of War and Halo 3 added together!
- Guerrilla Games is a subsidiary of Sony Corp. Sony spent millions of dollars to employ dozens of programmers and designers (who are AAA and world class) years ago; these new employees have been working for Guerrilla on KZ2 project.
- The version shown was only the alpha-build. The final (retail) build must be much better.
- All Sony’s internal developers and Sony’s very close world class companies share all kinds of technologies which are used for making PS3 games (OpenGL 2 based). These world class developers are those companies which make games like these:
MotorStorm, Metal Gear Solid 4, Warhawk, Ratchet & Clank Future, Virtua Fighter 5, Resistance: FoM, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, White Knight Story, Monster Kingdom, Tekken 6, Afrika, Heavenly Sword, Gran Turismo 5, Final Fantasy XIII, Lair, and of course Killzone 2.
