I followed MK since it gensis days and has not impress lately. Comparing it to Tekken or VF, made it looked half-baked and a little chessy. Be "real serious" about competing with the Tekken series and I will take a look.

but Mortal Kombat's golden-days were with MK1 and 2. Everything after that slid downhill very quickly. I'm still waiting for a respectable revision of Mortal Kombat: Armageddon to come out for the 360 and PS3, but I guess I'm just holding my breath, huh?

I thought Armageddon was the final one in the series? I thought it was supposed to be his vision of the final battle...guess the final battle wasn't good enough...

I agree. It sucks that they gave the fans what they wanted and included every fighter from every MK game, but then they didnt even do anything to the gameplay. No true fatalities? WTF! I was really disappointed when I played MK:A so I really really hope they make it more realistic fighting wise, true fatalities, and a lot more gory and less cartoony.

Trilogy

I actually thought that 3 was decent, MK Trilogy was my fav. though.

motion sensing

i've just bought a fighting stick for virtua fighter 5 so i hope it'll be supportet in soul calibur and mortal kombat 8. if yes, they'll be my choice. motion sensing feature useless for beat em ups i think. maybe for the wii because of the controll sheme of it but mortal kombat for wii is more a fun game than a professional fighting game.

My thoughts

I wish he would just go back to the drawing board and re release a new updated graphics version of mk 1 then do mk 2 then 3 and 4 but give a more meaningful storyline and when some dies keep them dead I wouldnt mind this look similiar to doa 4 I thought that game was nicely done. Im suprised boon isnt having fun with the Xbox Live Arcade im really suprised they didnt release all the mortal kombats 1-4 on there he should also make a sequal to the 2d line maybe like a new 4 but in 2d or maybe a 5 would be cool. And i think 1,2,3 and trilogy were the best all the 2d mortal kombat were amazing i even enjoyed 4 and gold it seems like deadly alliance and deception and armageddon just really looked cheasy they were all real bulky and everyone looked like a wrestler in them games and most of the woman fighters looked pretty ugly also they just need to start over from 1.

Ive been a MK fan since it was in the arcades. Well if Boon is gonna bring it back to its roots and what not we need John Tobias back on the MK team. Without John and Ed on a team we will never see MK the way it started out. Is Dan Forden still part of the MK team? if not we need him too. Bring back the live actors, 2-3 fatalities for each character, i actually liked the friendships. A few stage fatalities, not every single damn level. And get rid of the 3000+characters. 18 is plenty no more than 24.

Seems like you are the one who isn't very accustomed to the English language. It is not required to speak perfect formal English in CASUAL CONVERSATION, in this case an interview. Go watch an interview with any company, their people will usually use the word "like" incorrectly and many other slang words.
